As the anticipated date of Eid Al-Adha approaches, slated for either the 16th or 17th of June 2024 contingent upon the sighting of the new moon, preparations are underway for another landmark gathering in Ipswich. Building upon the success of previous celebrations, this year's event is poised to welcome over 1500 worshippers, making it the largest congregation yet.
In a spirit of inclusive invitation, Muslim worshippers from across Ipswich, Suffolk, and East Anglia are warmly encouraged to participate in this sacred occasion. Just as the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) exemplified, congregating for Eid Al-Adha holds profound significance, embodying the Sunnah and fostering a sense of community and devotion among believers.
Once again, Christchurch Park's Mansion Lawn will serve as the picturesque backdrop for this momentous gathering. Against the backdrop of lush greenery and serene surroundings, worshippers will come together to offer prayers, partake in communal rituals, and share in the joyous spirit of Eid.
